Spencer: I Picked Fame Over Heidi

Spencer Pratt, really a parody of himself at this point, confesses that he chose “fame” (infamy?) over wife Heidi Montag. “We love each other but I'm a famewhore and I'll never grow out of it,” Pratt tells People, adding that Heidi “doesn't want that.” Despite his admitted famewhorishness, Pratt insists their impending divorce is not a publicity stunt. Heidi “doesn’t want to be Speidi anymore. She wants to be Heidi Montag: the sex symbol.” (A goal that clearly has nothing to do with fame.)

“I want every kind of press. She believes in bad press. There's no way my love for fame and her love for puppies will ever work out successfully,” he continues. The newly-bearded Pratt (who recently claimed to be homeless, then crashed The Hills finale dressed as a homeless guy) says he’s “an artist now. I have an easel and everything. I'm going for an art show and a gallery.”
