Sorry, Sam: A judge has thrown out the lawsuit brought by Britney Spears' ex-manager. The move lets the Spears family off the hook after Sam Lutfi alleged libel, battery, and breach of contract. Brit's parents, Jamie and Lynn, had filed a motion yesterday to eliminate Lutfi's battery claim against Jamie, as well as his claim that Britney owed him money, E! Online reports. "I really thought long and hard," said the Los Angeles judge. It's "the right thing to do."

Everyone will have to return to court today, when the judge will tell the jury about the dismissal. Lutfi says he'll appeal after the eight-day trial, which has offered some juicy alleged details about the pop star's life. "Twenty-four hours a day with Britney Spears, I think, is very challenging," said Lutfi's lawyer in defending his client. "Twenty-four hours a day is a tough job." Radar has more here.
