Joan Rivers managed to get herself on the Anti-Defamation League's bad side ... with a butt joke. Speaking about how Heidi Klum looked in her Oscars dress, Rivers noted on her show Monday: "The last time a German looked this hot was when they were pushing Jews into the ovens." Her E! co-hosts looked a bit uncomfortable, the New York Daily News reports. The ADL was quick to call the joke "vulgar and offensive to Jews and Holocaust survivors, and indeed to all Americans," adding, "Of all people, Joan Rivers should know better."

Rivers wouldn't apologize: "My husband lost the majority of his family at Auschwitz, and I can assure you that I have always made it a point to remind people of the Holocaust through humor," was her response. It's decidedly nicer than her last response to the ADL: When the organization got angry at her for comparing Costco to Nazi Germany, Rivers told the ADL to "shut the [bleep] up."
