Female UPS Driver's Feat: 4M Miles, 0 Accidents
Ginny Adams: 40 years, no accidents.   (UPS)

If you're a professional truck driver, it's a rare achievement to log 4 million miles over 40 years. It's rarer still to manage it without a single accident along the way. Such is the feat of UPS driver Ginny Odom, who becomes the company's first female driver to accomplish it, reports WESH of Orlando. Odom hit the milestone upon her return to Orlando this week after a 650-mile round-trip to Georgia.

“There have been a lot of close calls along the way, even in the last few weeks,” Odom tells WFTV. But she credits her "defensive driving skills" for the unblemished record. Of the company's 102,000 active drivers, only 41 others are in the club. Odom drives tractor-trailers now, after nine years in the 1970s and '80s driving regular UPS trucks.
