Sometimes you're the windshield, sometimes you're the bug, and sometimes you're the guy trying to burn a building down who sets fire to a little more than you intended. Such was the plight of a would-be arsonist intending to burn down a Kentucky barbershop when he accidentally set himself on fire Sunday, police say. How do they know this? Well, a surveillance camera just happened to record the whole thing. The video, released by the Madisonville police, shows a woman emerge from a white van and bust a window of the barbershop, reports ABC News. A man then throws a Molotov cocktail into the building before grabbing another.

This throw doesn't go quite as smoothly. As he lets go of the bottle, flames suddenly spread to the man's shorts and shoes, per NBC News. He runs and dives onto a nearby lawn before kicking off his left shoe, still in flames. He eventually returns to the van, throws a third Molotov cocktail and drives away, leaving his burning shoe behind. No arrests have been made, but officers hope someone will recognize the suspects and contact police. (More arson stories.)
