The latest installment in the widely acclaimed and controversial Grand Theft Auto is more than worth the wait, writes Justin Calvert in GameStop. Preserving the basic play mechanics but adding a breathtaking level of complexity and a fantastically detailed and humorous mock-up of New York City, "Grand Theft Auto IV is a game that you simply have to play," he says.

The game, which is out today, allows you to do anything from meeting hot dates to trolling parody websites to watching comedy acts, and that's not to mention the crime missions at the heart of the game. Even the basic act of carjacking gets more complex in this installment. Prepare to deal with recalcitrant engines, car alarms, and possibly uncooperative passengers who'll try to drive away.
