A final footnote on the death of Queen Elizabeth: The 96-year-old monarch's official cause of death has been revealed to be "old age," reports People. Her occupation, as listed on the death certificate released by the National Record of Scotland, is "Her Majesty the Queen," per the BBC. The latter website also notes the time of death on Sept. 8 was 3:10pm, about three hours before the news was announced. Given the timing, it likely means that some members of the royal family—including Prince Andrew, Prince William, and Prince Edward and wife Sophie—did not arrive at the royal Balmoral estate in Scotland before the queen died. Prince Charles (now King Charles) and his sister Princess Anne were already there. (More Queen Elizabeth II stories.)
