President Obama will go so far as to call Rush Limbaugh's views “troublesome” in public, but in private he'll apparently go a little further. When Zev Chafets, author of the upcoming book Rush Limbaugh: An Army of One, extended an invitation to Obama to play a round of golf with Limbaugh, a Democratic adviser relayed this response (which may or may not have come from the president's mouth): “Limbaugh can play with himself.”

Limbaugh himself was a little more open to the idea, the New York Post reports. “He's the president of the United States,” Chafets recalls Limbaugh saying. “If any president asked me to meet him, or play golf with him, I'd do it. But I promise you that will never happen. His base on the left would have a shit-fit.”
