Everyone should do their part to help the environment, and Sheryl Crow is making sure that her tour is as green as possible—even if it kills her promoters. Crow's tour rider demands "biodegradable non-petroleum cups" and "disposable napkins made of 100% recycled fiber," the Smoking Gun reports. Meanwhile, produce should be “organic and purchased from local suppliers as much as possible," and water “must be sourced from a local spring water vendor.”

Besides listing her requirements for the show, Crow's rider (which notes she travels with two buses and two tractor-trailers) also offers general "venue greening suggestions" such as trading incandescent bulbs for CFLs, “eco-friendly cleaning and bathroom products” and “post-consumer recycled toilet paper." It adds: "We strongly encourage you to use renewable sources and/or to buy sustainable energy credits where possible." Also, leaving two “good quality, dark, organic chocolate bars” is labeled VERY IMPORTANT. (More Sheryl Crow stories.)
