Brett Favre and the Packers won for the second straight week on the road in a tough AFC West setting, this time downing the Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium 33-22, thanks to 17 straight fourth-quarter points. Green Bay moved to 7-1 on the year and maintained its one game lead in the NFC North. In other 1:00 EST game action:

  • Detroit crushed Denver at home 44-7, with the defense returning a fumble and an interception for two TDs
  • The Bills beat the struggling Bengals 33-21, as star Cincy receiver Chad Johnson was carted off the field with an injury
  • Atlanta beat SF 20-16 in a battle of the bad
  • Washington moved to 5-3 on a FG in OT to beat the Jets 23-20
  • Drew Brees threw for 445 yards to carry the Saints past the Jaguars 41-24
  • The Titans won their 3rd straight, 20-7 over the Panthers
  • Minnesota blew out San Diego 35-17 (see separate story)
