It's no great shock that Derek Jeter got his 3,000th hit today, but this part of the story is a nice surprise: The fan who got the home-run ball gave it back, no questions asked. "I'm not going to be the one to take this away from (Jeter)," Christian Lopez, 23, told WFAN, as per ESPN. "I've got plenty of time to make money." He's not going away empty-handed, though: The team is giving him four season tickets through the rest of the season and playoffs, notes the Daily News. "It's amazing," said Lopez. "I just picked it up off the floor." (More Derek Jeter stories.)
