Ice Age: Prehistoric Drift scored a $46 million debut this weekend and beat out The Amazing Spider-Man ($35 million), but failed to match the Ice Age best bow ever. That crown goes to Ice Age: The Meltdown, which opened to $68 million in 2006. Among other weekend films, Oliver Stone's Savages ($8.7 million) fell to sixth and Katy Perry: Part of Me ($3.7 million) held onto eighth. Ted ($22 million) and Magic Mike ($9 million) kept playing well, while Focus' sturdy indie flick Moonrise Kingdom ($3.7 million) filled the nine-hole, says the Hollywood Reporter.
