Tim Tebow has been dumped by a third NFL team. The Patriots have cut Tebow less than a week before the start of the regular season, reports ESPN and the AP. Not that he would have played much anyway: Tebow would have been backing up Ryan Mallett, who is himself backing up Tom Brady. The Broncos and Jets previously got rid of Tebow, but don't count him out of the NFL just yet, writes Mike Chiari at Bleacher Report. The former Florida star "has been chewed up and spit out by the NFL machine over the past couple of years, but he is certainly resilient." Click for the full column.
