It doesn't exactly sounds like every bride's dream: Get married at the hotel that inspired Stephen King to write The Shining ... atop a former pet cemetery. But that's exactly what Colorado's Stanley Hotel intends to make possible. The hotel doesn't seem to intentionally be going for the creep factor; rather, it just wants to shift about a dozen marked pet graves to the opposite bank of a small pond so that a wedding pavilion can be erected (corporate retreats can also make use of it).
Psychics, somewhat unsurprisingly, tell the Coloradoan that this is a very bad idea. It's up to Estes Park to decide if that's the case; it's currently checking out the plans, which include having a local cemetery handle the graves of "Elsie" and "Stanley Blue." (No word on who buried them there, or why, but the graves date back about five decades.) If Estes Park rings a bell, that's because it was ravaged in Colorado's recent flood, with the AP noting that only two roads into town survived. (More strange stuff stories.)
