Kobe Bryant capped off an exciting day for LA with 46 points, including several show-stopping dunks, in a 121-101 win at Toronto, writes the AP. Earlier in the day the team bolstered its lineup by trading for former All-Star Pau Gasol. The Lakers, leading by only six entering the fourth quarter, then broke it open by making their first eight shots of the stanza.

Bryant, who was 19-28 from the field, clearly performs well versus Toronto, the team against which he once scored 81 points. Sasha Vujacic played a nice supporting role with 22 points for LA, which rebounded from a tough one-point loss at Detroit last night. Andrea Bargnani scored a career-high 28 points for Toronto while Chris Bosh had 22 and 15 rebounds. (More Kobe Bryant stories.)
