A spokesperson for the couple confirms to the AP that they were married Saturday in France. As predicted, they wed in a small chapel at their estate, Chateau Miraval, in a "nondenominational civil ceremony" attended by family and friends. Proof that the gossip media didn't pick up on the story in advance: A Daily Mail article this week noted that the couple was in France for "summer family time."

The same California judge who issued their marriage license in advance of the ceremony officiated. Jolie was walked down the aisle by the couple's oldest sons, Maddox and Pax, as daughters Zahara and Vivienne acted as flower girls and tomboy daughter Shiloh and son Knox served as ring bearers.
