Bernie Sanders has some shocking news for Donald Trump: "I also went to the bathroom" during Saturday's Democratic debate, Sanders told supporters in Iowa Tuesday night. Trump "has discovered that women go to the bathroom and it’s very upsetting for him," Sanders said, per BuzzFeed. Sanders read out Trump's remark that Clinton's bathroom break was disgusting and quipped: "He must have a very unusual relationship with women." At the Council Bluffs rally, Sanders also called Trump a "coward billionaire" and attacked both his anti-immigrant rhetoric and his opposition to raising the minimum wage, the Washington Post reports.

Trump, meanwhile, has been defending his use of the word "schlonged" to describe Clinton's 2008 primary loss to Obama, Mashable reports. The Yiddish word wasn't used in a vulgar sense, "it meant got beaten badly. The media knows this. Often used word in politics!" he tweeted, pointing out that NPR's Neal Conan used it in the exact same sense a few years ago when discussing the 1984 election, saying the Walter Mondale-Geraldine Ferraro ticket "went on to get schlonged at the polls." It's not a common term, but Conan and Trump both grew up in New York City and are in their late 60s, suggesting that "there may be a generational aspect to its use" and that Trump "might well be right," Philip Bump writes at the Washington Post.
