Deadpool's third week at the box office was also the charm, giving the Ryan Reynolds antihero flick its third win in a row with $31.5 million, reports USA Today. The latest tally pushes Deadpool to the No. 3 grossing R-rated movie ever, past The Matrix Reloaded. "Much like the hero in the movie, Deadpool just keeps dispatching its competition week after week," says an analyst. Following at No. 2 was Gods of Egypt, but with a 13% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, it "swung for the fences," says the analyst, but could only salvage a $14 million take. Two other new releases also bombed: Eddie the Eagle with $6.3 million and Triple 9, which only pulled in $6.1 million despite a big-name cast. (More box office stories.)
