Supermodel Janice Dickinson has breast cancer, she revealed in an exclusive interview with the Daily Mail. After her doctor found a pea-sized lump in her breast just over two weeks ago, an urgent mammogram and biopsy followed, and Dickinson was diagnosed with early-stage ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS). The 61-year-old calls it a "nightmarish dream" and admits that she's scared, but she promises, "I'm going to get through this, I'll be just fine."

Dickinson will soon have a lumpectomy, and doctors will run tests to see how far the cancer has spread (it was detected in some of her lymph nodes), but the Daily Mail says her "chances of survival are good." She'll undergo radiation and will likely be on medication for the rest of her life. The syndicated daytime TV series The Doctors will follow her story starting on April 6.
