If you were among the 17 million subscribers to sign up for Netflix streaming before May 2014, you've been enjoying a $7.99 monthly rate, while new subscribers have had to pay $2 more. You might want to wipe off that grin. Starting in May, all Netflix subscribers will be bumped to the $9.99 rate for a standard plan, reports Time. Netflix announced the change ages ago, but 80% of affected users weren't aware of it in a JPMorgan survey. Some 41% of users say they'll cancel their subscriptions when asked about the price hike, but analysts expect only 3% or 4% to follow through, per Business Insider. (Read more Netflix stories.)
