Leonard Cohen's death at 82 was "sudden, unexpected" yet also "peaceful," according to his manager. In a statement to Cohencentric.com, Robert Kory says Cohen suffered a fall in the middle of the night and died in his sleep on Nov. 7—three days before the public was notified. No cause of death was given at the time, though reports claimed Cohen had cancer, per the Washington Post. Only weeks earlier, Cohen told the New Yorker, "I am ready to die. I hope it's not too uncomfortable. That's about it for me." (See what might be the last photo of Cohen at his home here.)
