Saturday Night Live gave President Trump a rare night off in its latest Cold Open, focusing instead on the college admissions scandal and Julian Assange's arrest. Opening with jail inmates bragging about their misdeeds, Kate McKinnon as Lori Loughlin says, "You think that’s insane? I paid 500 grand to get my daughter into USC." She proceeds to inform her fellow inmates that she owns the guards because "I helped their kids get into a really competitive pre-K," and that she bribed her way into the Nation of Islam for the bargain price of $100,000. Michael Keaton drops by as the recently jailed Assange to proclaim himself "the scourge of the cleaning staff at the Ecuadorean Embassy," notes the Hollywood Reporter. Emma Stone guest-hosted for her fourth time, and BTS was musical host. Video highlights are in the gallery. (More Saturday Night Live stories.)
