(Newser) – Chris Pratt posted a photo of himself in workout clothes, holding a plastic water bottle, on Instagram Tuesday to plug his partnership with Amazon showing customers "everything I use for my workouts," but one of his fellow stars took issue with that aforementioned bottle. "bro I love u but wtf on the water bottle,” Jason Momoa, aka DC's Aquaman, wrote in a comment, per People, which has a screenshot. “no single use plastic. come on." Pratt himself (aka Marvel's Star-Lord) replied lightheartedly: "Aquaman! You’re completely right. Dammit. I always carry my big gallon size reusable water jug around with me too. I even had it that day!!! If I remember correctly somebody threw that plastic bottle to me in the photo shoot cause I didn’t know what to do with my hands! I never know what to do with my hands! So uncomfortable. For real tho. Love you too buddy. My bad. I don’t want your home of Atlantis covered in plastic. Hear that kids? Reduce. Reuse. Recycle." But others took offense.

A sample of the criticism lobbed against Momoa: "But yet he called him out on it with a device that is full of plastic that uses lots of plastic to post that reply to include the dirty power they hate that charges it or allows it to run. He also conveniently left out the whole process to make the device he uses to post and the platforms use of all that plastic and dirty power they hate to reach his likers." The backlash prompted Momoa to issue his own Instagram post, People reports, a picture of Momoa and Pratt together with Momoa's kids. "BRO you know my children and I are madly in love with you and I love everything you do," he wrote in the caption. "I’m sorry this was received so badly today I didn’t mean for that to happen. I’m just very passionate about this single use plastic epidemic. the plastic water bottles have to stop i hope u make a reusable water bottle for amazon so we all can purchase. You’re an inspiration to many I’m one of them. I’ll send you a case of MANANALU. All my Aloha, Da Momoa’s." (Read more Jason Momoa stories.)
