Justin Timberlake, who was spotted holding hands with Alisha Wainwright at a New Orleans bar last month, has apologized to wife Jessica Biel for the "strong lapse in judgement"—but he says nothing actually happened between him and his co-star. "I drank way too much that night and I regret my behavior. I should have known better," the 38-year-old said in an Instagram post Wednesday. "This is not the example I want to set for my son," Timberlake added. "I apologize to my amazing wife and family for putting them through such an embarrassing situation, and I am focused on being the best husband and father I can be."

Timberlake and Biel, who got married in 2012, have a 4-year-old son, Silas. Timberlake is currently filming the movie Palmer with Wainwright in New Orleans, TMZ reports. A source tells People that while photos and video of Timberlake with Wainwright on a bar balcony may have aroused suspicions, the interaction was "completely innocent" and they were with a large group of friends at the time. "Literally it was nothing. It was some friends, members of the team, crew, and people like that," the source says. "They all know each other and were hanging. Like come on, they're on an open balcony in New Orleans and he’s famous. It was nothing.” (More Justin Timberlake stories.)
