Three years after marrying Emma Portner, actor Elliot Page has filed for divorce. The contested divorce case was filed Tuesday in Manhattan, Page Six reports. Page, 33, came out as gay in 2014 and transgender last month; Page starred in the film Juno. Portner, 26, is a dancer and choreographer who teaches at New York's Broadway Dance Center, per TMZ. "Can't believe I get to call this extraordinary woman my wife," Page wrote on Instagram in January 2018 alongside a photo of two hands, each with a thin band on the ring finger.

Portner had expressed support after Page's transgender announcement. "Trans, queer and non-binary people are a gift to this world," Portner wrote Dec. 1 on Instagram. "I also ask for patience & privacy but that you join me in the fervent support of trans life every single day. Elliot's existence is a gift in and of itself. Shine on sweet E. Love you so much." (Page thanked fans last month for supporting his announcement.)
