Angelina Jolie and her newborn twins made a pre-dawn getaway from the French hospital where she gave birth, the Fondation Lenval said. The Hollywood superstar left the clinic in the Riviera city of Nice with twins Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline Jolie-Pitt in a white van, eluding the horde of photographers camped outside.  It was not immediately clear if dad Brad Pitt was with them

Jolie checked into the hospital July 2 and delivered the twins 10 days later. The Fondation Lenval thanked the couple for choosing the hospital, the hospital staff "for the attention and care they paid to the family," and the "journalists around the hospital who did their best to respect their privacy." The Nice-Matin newspaper has reported that an unnamed US publication has paid $11 million for exclusive rights to the first photos, with the proceeds to go to charity. (More Angelina Jolie stories.)
