This time it's definitely not TV—it's a movie. Variety is fueling already animated rumors that HBO mega-hit Sex and the City may spawn a feature film later this year. Former CEO Chris Albrecht, who left the network last month in disgrace, has reportedly been captaining the effort to translate Carrie and the gang to the big screen.

Gossip has circulated about the Hollywood debut of the fabulous foursome since the show's abrupt 2004 signoff. Rumor had it that Kim Cattrall—to millions of fans the decadent Samantha—was uncharacteristically unyielding in negotiations, but has finally been seduced. And headliner (and former EP) Sarah Jessica Parker has implied filming is imminent. (More Sex and the City stories.)
