The man who never wanted to grow up hits the half-century mark today. Michael Jackson told ABC's Good Morning America in a phone interview he's feeling "very young"—but also "wise and sage." The superstar is still writing songs and hopes to tour again, but is also keeping busy bringing up his three children. He plans to celebrate his birthday with "a little cake with my children and some cartoons."

Looking back at his long showbiz career, Jackson said the happiest days were when he was recording smash hit albums Off the Wall and Thriller. He sacrificed his childhood to stardom, but says he would do it all over again. "It is very much worth it," he said. "I love the celebration of music and dance and art."
