Taylor Lautner flipped, kicked, and chopped his way to vengeance on a fake Kanye West, but the Twilight werewolf's presence on last night's Saturday Night Live didn't make it a howl, writes Ken Tucker for EW. Lowlights:

  • "The only thing worse" than Kanye-Taylor jokes "would have been a lot of obvious jokes about Tiger Woods." And guess what? Jason Sudeickis as a painful PGA commish, and no less than three Weekend Update jokes.

  • Host Lautner "danced at every opportunity, such as a show-choir skit, but there was certainly no glee to be found."
  • As for underutilized female castmembers, "Abby Elliott put in more screentime than she has all season, and that Kristen Wiig limited herself to just one big screech-out moment, as nervous Aunt Sue."
  • Biggest laugh of the night? "Ricky Gervais, not on SNL, but in a real commercial for the Golden Globes he’s hosting on NBC." Uh oh.
