Looks like talent runs in Gabourey Sidibe’s family: Alice Tan Ridley, mother of the Oscar-nominated Precious star, gave the “best audition of the day” on last night’s America’s Got Talent, judge Piers Morgan said. Ridley, who sings in subway stations, is moving on in the competition after her rendition of Etta James’ “At Last” brought the audience to its feet.
"Alice, millions of people must have gone back and forth on that subway over the 20 years,” said judge Sharon Osbourne. “How come nobody signed you?"
