Another tale of woe from a former child star, this one from a ways back. Butch Patrick, known to TV audiences for his portrayal of Eddie Munster on The Munsters, has checked into a drug rehab facility in New Jersey. It's been a rough year for Patrick, 57, who moved to the East Coast to marry Donna McCall, a former NFL cheerleader and Munsters superfan. The two were set to wed in July, but McCall backed out at the last minute, then dumped Patrick after Halloween, reports E! Online.

Besides the recent heartache, "he has had substance abuse issues for probably as long as he can remember," says his agent. "He's never been in rehab before so at 57 to make that decision was really hard but I'm extremely proud of him."
