(Newser) – The national anthem, the Super Bowl … it’s a lot for a girl to deal with, and Christina Aguilera says she just got caught up in the moment last night and lost her place in the song. “I can only hope that everyone could feel my love for this country and that the true spirit of its anthem still came through,” she says in a statement to the AP. Aguilera repeated a line—while mangling it at the same time—singing, “What so proudly we watched at the twilight's last reaming” instead of “O'er the ramparts we watched, were so gallantly streaming.” Click for more on Aguilera's flub.
