It's a good thing Emily Kraus and her boyfriend stopped to pick up a hitchhiker on their way to a Dave Matthews Band concert—the wayfarer was none other than Dave Matthews himself. Matthews was out for a bike ride before his concert in Hershey, Penn., when his tire went flat, WPXI reports. To make matters worse, he didn't have a cellphone to call for help. Thanks to the star-struck fans, he got to his concert on time, and repaid the pair by taking them out to dinner, giving them front-row seats and a backstage pass, and signing their tickets, reports CBS 21. "I woke up this morning and said, 'OK, yeah, that really happened.' It was surreal,” says Kraus, per WPXI. (More Dave Matthews stories.)
