Cal's Jamaal Boykin was the driving force of his team last night, determined not to drop their sixth of the last seven games. Along with his seven rebounds and 12 points, Boykin was "the most vocal leader in the huddle," and—more critically—sank the free throws that nailed the game up at 69-64, reports the Chronicle. In other college hoops:

  • In a defensive battle that featured 40 rebounds from each team, Wisconsin's 16 points from Trevon Hughes and 14 from Marcus Landry pushed the Badgers past Indiana 62-49.
  • After a cold first half, with the Wolfpack leading by nine, Duke pulled out all the stops, shooting 63.6% to rout North Carolina State 92-71.
