Less than three months after it got into hot water for putting Melissa McCarthy in a vast coat, Elle magazine is facing another cover controversy. This time, Mindy Kaling was featured as one of four cover stars for the "Women in TV" issue. But while the other three (white) featured women got full-color covers, Kaling's was in black and white. And Kaling's cover focused on her face; the other three women (Amy Poehler, Zooey Deschanel, and Allison Williams) showed off more of their bodies. Kaling, however, nipped the controversy in the bud yesterday, Today reports.

"I love my @ELLEmagazine cover," she tweeted. "It made me feel glamorous & cool. And if anyone wants to see more of my body, go on thirteen dates with me." She also used the brouhaha to boost her TV show: "Wishing for more skin on my @ELLEmagazine cover? Chris Messina & I are naked on a brand new #themindyproject tonight, ya pervs!" As for Elle, it released a statement to E!: "Mindy looks sexy, beautiful and chic. We think it is a striking and sophisticated cover and are thrilled to celebrate her in our Women in TV Issue."
