"Marie Claire got me drunk for my interview #true #DidntFightIt," Anna Kendrick tweeted yesterday. Apparently the actress and writer Jessica Pressler first took a bartending class, then went to dinner. Some of the results were predictably amusing:

  • On her looks: "The most common thing that I get is, 'Am I the only one who doesn't think that Anna Kendrick is pretty?' And you're like, 'No, you're not the only one. Arguably, all of the boys in my high school agree with you.'"
  • On a recurring dream she has: She's fighting in the dream, "Like, really physically kicking, and throwing punches and doing karate moves and breaking things. Which I could never actually pull off in real life because I'm so small. Ol' McSpaghetti arms."

But most of it, Madeleine Davies writes on Jezebel, was "just your typical lady mag word salad." And Lorena O'Neil at the Hollywood Reporter agrees, noting that "drunk" Anna Kendrick apparently says "pretty much the same type of things that sober Anna Kendrick says—unless she's drunk 100% of the time in interviews." It's a shame Marie Claire wasted this opportunity, Davies writes: "Anna, we the Jezebel staff would formally like to invite you out for a night of true drunkenness. We can talk about dicks, sing Sondheim songs, and try to figure out why Marie Claire dressed you in a turtleneck, blazer, and no pants, then posed you on the beach." (Kendrick said this summer that no one has hit on her in quite a while.)
