Amy Schumer gave birth to her first baby May 5. On May 20, she was back to work: The comedian made a surprise appearance at New York City's Comedy Cellar Monday night, CNN reports. A fellow comic captured a photo of Schumer in front of the packed audience, and Schumer herself later posted it to Instagram with the caption, "I'm back!" Some commenters criticized Schumer's decision to return to work so quickly, but People reports that Schumer responded with her trademark humor. For example, in response to a supportive comment from writer, producer, and wife of Jimmy Kimmel Molly McNearney, Schumer joked, "I've always wanted to be mom shamed!!!!" (More Amy Schumer stories.)
