Faris Makes Bunny Hop

Critics seem to split on the overall worth of sorority comedy House Bunny, but most agree that star Anna Faris is worth the price of admission. The stalwart of the Scary Movie franchise has a "sunny disposition and solid comic timing" that greatly improve what is "essentially a female remake of Revenge of the Nerds," Christy Lemire writes for the AP.

Faris is a "comic force of nature" in her portrayal of a former Playboy bunny who becomes house mother to socially challenged sorority sisters, Michael Rechtshaffen writes in the Hollywood Reporter. Formulaic stuff, but its strong script could help launch the movie beyond its target audience and propel Faris to "a singular kind of stardom," John Anderson writes in Variety.
