Maggie Gyllenhaal and longtime beau Peter Sarsgaard married in Italy over the weekend, Us reports. They have a 2-year-old daughter and have been engaged since 2006. Elsewhere:

  • Hero pilot Chesley Sullenberger—who famously apologized to his library after leaving a book he checked out on his plane in the Hudson—filmed a PSA for the San Francisco Library’s fine amnesty program, Gawker reports. Watch it at the link below.

  • In other hero news, Maersk Alabama captain Richard Phillips signed with Creative Artists Agency, Variety reports. CAA will help the captain, held at gunpoint by Somali pirates for five days, navigate incoming book and movie offers.
  • That was quick: John Mayer hasn’t been in touch with his latest gal pal, Scheana Marie, since she dished on their hookup to the media. She “just wants to make sure John knows that she really cares about him and is not using this media attention to further her career,” a source tells the New York Daily News.
