Tiger Woods not only managed to hide his multiple affairs from his wife, he kept his caddy in the dark as well, Steve Williams says. Williams, Woods' caddy and close friend for over a decade, told a TV station in his native New Zealand that he knew nothing of the affairs, despite what many may believe. He would never have kept the cheating secret just to protect his job, he said. "I'm a straight-up sort of person. If I had known something was going on, the whistle would have been blown," he said.

Williams' wife said he would not have been able to keep such news from her or from Woods' wife. "The four of us are so close," she said. "He couldn't know and not say something to Elin or myself." Williams says he's mad at Tiger, but they haven't talked about the scandal yet, CNN reports. "When a guy's having a tough time, that's not the time," he said. His role now is to help Tiger bounce back, he said.
